Solving our housing problems requires understanding them and there's no way to understand affordability without using numbers. In order to quantify the impact of different affordability measures, Housing Now has for the past two years been working on a comprehensive affordability model known as the Family Housing Cost Model (FHCM). This model is still a work in progress, but we make it available here for those interested in our cost modeling. We ask that if you share the model with others that you point them to us as the source. If you make modifications we ask that you still credit us with the original model but make not of any changes you’ve made from the original in the copy you create.
